Gresford Show offers a diverse range of show classes including our local rider, breed and led classes, as well as Off the Track Thoroughbreds and Australian Stock Horses.

All local competitors have the opportunity to be awarded the James Hall Supreme Local Rider (under 17 years) perpetual trophy which is based on the highest point score over two days of competition. The successful rider will also be awarded $100 prize money and a broad sash during the Grand Parade on the Saturday. 

Competitors also have the opportunity to be awarded the David Cain Memorial which also offers $150 in prize money and broad sash. The successful candidate will have accumulated the highest point score from placings over both days of the show.


Any competitors wishing to be considered for the David Cain Memorial will need to nominate their horse at the ring office by midday on the Friday of the show. ​


Due to the drought there may be significant changes to our 2020 Campdraft. An announcement will be made on our Facebook page before entries open.   


Gresford Show boasts strong competition over our two day show. In 2020, our campdraft will offer the following classes; 

~ Junior Draft

~ Juvenile Draft

~ Maiden Draft

~ Open Draft

~ Novice Draft

On Friday the Junior and Juvenile draft brings together some of the most talent riders from across the district. The Juvenile draft is proudly sponsored by the Paterson River Pony Club with the winner being presented with the Warren Richards Shield.

The finalist in our Friday open class will ride off in the camp draft final held on Saturday.

Due to this event being in high demand the Ring Master reserves the right to close the draw when classes are full. Early entry is recommended to avoid disappointment. Entries open 24 February 2020.

The draw will be available in the week prior to the show. 


Our cattle program offers classes for both stud and commercial cattle.


If you have a prized bull, heiffer, cow or steer come and join us at Gresford Show. 

On Friday we will be hosting our Junior Cattle Judging. This is an opportunity for primary school, high school and senior school competitors.

Our Saturday classes will include both stud and commercial cattle. 

Prize money of $250 for the Supreme Female Beef breed exhibit and Supreme Male Beef breed exhibit has been kindly donated by SAFE Group.

Gresford Show will host a feature event on Saturday 14 March 2020. 

Heats will commence 10am on Saturday morning with the finals for the Open Post Cut, Novice Post Splitting, and Team Post Splitting following the Grand Parade at 2.30pm. 


Join in the excitement of our 'Speed Cut' feature event on Saturday afternoon commencing at 3pm. 



Our Pavilion offers a wide range of exhibits for participants and spectators. 

Come and see the some of the best farm produce, home style cooking, and flower arrangements that the district has to offer.

Do you have some prized hens or roosters at home? Why not bring them along to the Gresford Show on Saturday 14 March 2020. 

We offer classes varying from Australian Game, Soft Feathered Standard, Hard Feather Bantum, and Soft Feather Bantum. 

All entries close on Monday 9th March 2020.


Bring your bunny or guinea pig along to Gresford Show. We will be judging who has the best coat, best groomed, fancy dress, best behaved and the best eater. 

Winners of the heats go into the Grand Final judging for the Best Overall in Show Trophy.


Our Pet Parade is a great way for your kids to have some fun, while showing off their loved family pet. 

We will be running classes for;

~ Too cute for words

~ The longest tail

~ The softest pet

~ Most unique pet

~ Best hair style

~ Best behaved

All competitors must be at the showground at 10am Saturday 14th March 2020.
